Child and their parents witnessed firsthand how organic waste transforms into clean energy, discovering that solving massive ecological problems can also build thriving businesses. By bridging the gap between theory and practical reality, this visit proved that true education happens outside the classroom. We aren’t just touring facilities—we are actively raising the problem-solvers and eco-entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

Nine city dwellers traded their weekend routines for muddy boots and real work. Three families worked shoulder-to-shoulder with our farmer pulling weeds, staking bamboo for pumpkins, and spraying natural protective mists. But the real shift happened after lunch. During a candid Q&A, parents uncovered the raw, unfiltered realities of growing food. As the children listened, their perception of the plate transformed. They didn't just learn how a crop grows; they gained a profound, firsthand respect for the hands that feed them.

Finding your tribe in the alternative education journey.

Is alternative education a lonely journey? Not when you find your tribe. At our first Praja Sawand at Spirit of Mogli, play met profound dialogue. While kids built sprawling cities from 3,000 wooden blocks, parents built something equally vital: a support system. We bypassed theories to tackle the raw realities of socialization, finances, and parental conditioning.

Our takeaway? Our role isn't to be strict teachers, but to foster unshakeable self-confidence. True community in action.

In a world obsessed with yields, it’s easy to forget the hands that feed us. For this batch, we assigned perspective, not just tasks. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with a local farmer operating without tractors or safety nets, families saw how he reads the weather, trusts the earth, and grows chemical-free food as a lived truth. A profound silence falls when you realize the patience needed to grow a single meal. We didn’t just touch the soil; we touched a life.

Most agri-tourism promises a sanitized "experience"—a quick selfie with a plow before returning to comfort. We offer the exact opposite. No luxury layers, rehearsed tours, or fake setups. Just the soil, the sweat, and the silence of the farm. We want families to feel the weight of tools and the texture of the earth as a necessity, not a novelty. An 'experience' is something you consume and forget; a 'reality' is something that changes you.

Engineering tradition: Where history becomes hands-on.

Cohort Size: 5 Families (14 Participants) - A collaborative village effort.

How do you teach project management and problem-solving without textbooks? You build a mud fort. For Diwali Durg, families used limited resources to revive the tradition of Diwali Killa making. This hands-on effort proved that basic activities form the foundation for complex life skills. Later, we transitioned into an open dialogue on unschooling, showing that within a community built on trust, alternative education becomes a rewarding journey of discovery.

Authenticity, Transparency, and Trust in the fields.

Cohort Size: 2 Families (6 Participants) - The pioneer group.

Farming is often romanticized, but reality is about the authentic, not the aesthetic. That’s why we launched Ek Din Ka Farmer. This is no farm-themed picnic; it is unfiltered, hands-on learning. Participants worked in natural weather using the real tools of the trade. By keeping this inaugural cohort intentionally small, we focused entirely on depth over breadth, fostering a sustainable mindset that families took back to the city.

Long before Praja was born, our family was rooted in the soil of Shiravli, Ratnagiri. In May 2025, we took a leap to share the Hapus mangoes planted by our grandfather directly with urban families. This was Praja’s first step into ethical business—no middlemen, just honest fruit brought straight to the city. This humble experiment successfully delivered 1,000+ mangoes to 30+ families across Pune and Mumbai, marking the birth of our community-driven commerce.
